Each Sunday, our teachers will be using music, art, drama, movement, and discussion to explore the many morals and stories associated with the important Christian message. We encourage your children to come and play and explore this with us!
As always, we appreciate your support and contributions to the work of CE. For those of you who would like to assist in helping with Sunday School, our theatrical productions, or Senior or Junior High School projects, you are very welcome to do so and please contact us. We can assure you that it is a joyous thing to be involved in the lives of our youth!

Events for All Ages & Stages

Junior High Youth Group: Junior High Youth Group will continue to meet monthly. Our next meeting will be Sunday January 31st in the early evening. Please look for an email with timing details. It will be a time when the students will have an opportunity to meet one of our candidates and participate in some high spirited fun, including making your own nachos!

Senior High Youth Group: Senior High Youth Group will also continue to meet monthly. The next scheduled meeting is Saturday, January 30th from 5-7pm. Students will have an opportunity to meet one of our candidates and the theme of our meeting will be "So this is the new year and I don't feel any different--Recognizing and making change in your life and the world around you."

Sunday Nursery School: We still have our wonderful, fearless nursery sitters, Hannah Chambless and Michelle De Santis, with us weekly and the nursery will continue to be open every Sunday when church is in session.

Confirmation Class: The confirmation class is still in full swing with a full schedule up until Confirmation in May 2016 (date TBD). Pastor Liz will be working with Newton Elliot Church ministers to continue to guide the confirmands on their journey.
Nick Foster, our wonderful Youth Choir Director, is developing a winter and spring program of music and stories for Sunday School that will culminate in a presentation of the musical Honk Jr. at the Mother's Day Service on May 8th.
Honk Jr. is a retelling of the story of the Ugly Duckling and a celebration of finding friends who celebrate differences and help one find oneself.
Performance Opportunity
A Note from the CE Board
A search is underway for a Director of Faith Formation. This position will encompass curriculum preparation, leading Sunday School, Youth Groups and Adult Education. We have two strong candidates and we are pleased to say that there will be opportunities for kids and parents to meet them later in January.
More information on timing and activities will be posted as the time draws nearer.
Mission Trips/Outreach
Our youth groups learn and practice Christian values by doing outreach and mission trips in their own community and far beyond. Previous missions have included:
Cheyenne River Sioux Lakota Reservation in South Dakota with Simply Smiles
Mission to The Common Cahtedral in Boston Common.
